My wife was diagnosed with having a 3.2cm fibroadenoma and has decided to have it removed by suggestion of a surgeon, because of the size. Upon examination through the ultrasound it has all indication of being a fibroadenoma, but the ultrasound also indicated that there was blood within it. Is this normal and should this be a cause for alarm?

If you have a lump in your breast, will a scan tell me if it's cancerous? Just wondering how far to go with my doctors.

When a doctor wants to do a second mammogram, is that serious? Is this just precautionary? Did they find something? Did the radiologist mess up the reading?

If a person's mammogram shows a cluster of microcalcifications, what does that mean? And what's the difference between a cluster with jagged edges as opposed to round?
