Could a fibroadenoma show blood flow within it on an ultrasound?
My wife was diagnosed with having a 3.2cm fibroadenoma and has decided to have it removed by suggestion of a surgeon, because of the size. Upon examination through the ultrasound it has all indication of being a fibroadenoma, but the ultrasound also indicated that there was blood within it. Is this normal and should this be a cause for alarm?
